Super Bowl Super Year – Well Written Tweet

So, I had a very strange thing happen to me this week. Let me explain …

I attended an event I helped plan for the Silicon Valley chapter of the International Association of Business Communications (SV/IABC). It was a lovely affair at Levi’s Stadium here in Santa Clara, Calif. (more about that in a moment). As I usually do, I sent a few tweets about the event. One of them included a photo of the speaker, and a pretty benign explanation about where I am and the speaker’s name. Here’s my Tweet:

I usually think of tweets and social media posts I do on my own as rather throw away items. I rarely pay much attention to them once they are finished. But, this particular one received a verbal complement later in the day. Something very different.

SV/IABC partnered with the Super Bowl 50 Committee and its Business Connect arm to showcase how Super Bowl 50 will bring tens of thousands of dollars to local Bay Area businesses. This isn’t just for a few months before the Super Bowl, there are infrastructure decisions happening right now. This is especially true for women, veteran, minority and LGBT owned businesses. Check out more information and deadlines to apply for grants on the Business Connect website.
